Who is ChinoChinako?

ChinoChinako is my alias in all things cosplay-related. My name is Jeannette ChinoChinako, and I am a cosplayer and self-proclaimed geek. I’m an award winning costume designer who has specialized in cosplay for just over the past two decades. Beyond winning awards, my cosplay has also been published in books sold world-wide. In September and October of 2016, I was lucky enough to work with gaming giant Ubisoft to help promote WATCH_DOGS 2 while cosplaying as Sitara Dhawan, the leader of the DedSec hacking group from the video game. I also worked with Ubisoft again in November 2017 to celebrate the games’ first year anniversary. This year, I’m happy to say that I began working with Ubisoft on promoting Watch Dogs Legion (release date: October 29, 2020) and will be tackling a cosplay build of one of the masks from the game soon, live on Twitch.

I like to consider myself a positive force within the cosplay community, offering sewing and crafting assistance to anyone who asks. I make nearly everything from scratch, measuring twice and cutting once. My favorite part of crafting is creating the little accessories–beaded designs, earrings, carefully painted pieces, etc. I love simple cosplay that incorporate a lot of little details! My hope is to continue to breathe life into my favorite characters for a long time to come.

Random Facts: I play Pokemon GO every day, enjoy being outdoors, and love animals. I currently volunteer at a local rabbit shelter once a week.
